Tailbacks times two...

Oklahoma running back Allen Patrick was one of two tailbacks to sign on Friday. The Sooners' leading rusher signed both index cards I sent care of Oklahoma Football in just 14 days. Patrick took over for Adrian Peterson when he was injured last fall and ended up running for nearly 800 yards and a half-dozen touchdowns on the season. In five starts, he ran for more than 100 yards four times, including a spectacular 173-yard performance against Oklahoma State.

Also signing was Chadron State's Danny Woodhead. The Eagles' star became the first college football player in history to run for 2700 yards in a single season last fall. He signed both index cards care of Chadron State Football in just 20 days. No player in the country had more all-purpose yards (3100) or touchdowns (38) than did Woodhead, who was given the Harlon Hill Trophy at season's end, recognizing him as the top D-II player in the nation.

Both players also completed questionnaires, which you can view by visiting our message board. You can also see the exact mailing addresses used to contact these players, and many more, by checking out our Success Database.
