Former Beaver in the 'box...

Former Oregon State standout shortstop Darwin Barney signed a pair of index cards and completed a questionnaire care of his current minor league team, the Daytona Cubs, in just under two weeks. A former Pac-10 freshman All-American and Team USA gold medal winner, Barney won 2 national championships while at OSU.

Former Tiger, new Gamecock signs...

Former LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux, who recently transferred to Jacksonville State, signed an index card and completed a questionnaire care of the JSU football office in just under a week. Perrilloux was once named the High School Offensive Player of the Year by USA Today. After two years at LSU, he will be eligible immediately at Jacksonville State.

Wildcats sign...

Kentucky baseball stars Sawyer Carroll, Ryan Wilkes, Collin Cowgill, Greg Dombrowski, Chris Rusin, and Scott Green each signed an 8x10 I designed and sent care of the UK athletic department. Carroll (.416, 16 HR), Wilkes (.378, 9 HR), and Cowgill (.364, 18 HR) are the team's leading hitters, while Dombrowski (5-0, 3.67), Rusin (6-2, 2.84), and Green (6-3, 4.67) are the Cats' go-to guys on the mound.

Slugger signs...

George Mason baseball star Justin Bour signed a pair of index cards and completed a questionnaire care of the GMU athletic department in just over three weeks. Bour, a sophomore first baseman, is hitting .394 with a dozen homeruns this season.

Sweed signs...

Texas wide receiver Limas Sweed, a recent 2nd round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers, signed a pair of index cards I sent back last summer. That success, care of the UT athletic department, took nearly 300 days.

Unloading the mailbox...

Stanford twins Brook and Robin Lopez each signed an 8x10 I designed. That request featuring the two former Cardinal who have entered this summer's NBA Draft took just under a week.

Butler basketball's top four scorers - A.J. Graves, Mike Green, Pete Campbell, and Matt Howard - each signed an 8x10 I designed and sent care of the athletic department back in the winter. That success took just under 100 days.

UNC baseball stars Dustin Ackley, Chad Flack, Tim Federowicz, and Tim Fedroff each signed an 8x10 I designed and sent care of the Tar Heels' athletic department in just under three weeks.

Also signing was Washington State star Derrick Low, who returned a pair of index cards and a questionnaire care of WSU in a bit over two months. Low led the Cougars with over 14 points per game this past season.

Duke sharp-shooter Jon Scheyer also signed a pair of index cards. That success, care of the Blue Devils' athletic department, took just less than 150 days. Scheyer averaged 11 points per game while shooting 38% from downtown this past season.

Kentucky baseball star Collin Cowgill signed a pair of index cards care of the UK athletic department in a little over two months. Cowgill is the team's second leading hitter with a .368 season average thus far.

Georgia Southern slugger Chris Shehan signed a couple of index cards and completed a questionnaire care of his school in just over a week. Shehan is hitting an impressive .434 with 17 homeruns on the campaign.

St. Bonaventure's Randy Moley also signed a pair of index cards and completed a questionnaire care of his athletic department in just over a week. Moley is hitting .440 on the season with a half-dozen longballs.

Pepperdine pitcher Brett Hunter returned a pair of index cards care of his athletic department in just over 100 days. In limited opportunities this season, Hunter is 1-0 with a 2.77 ERA.
