Pair of Bears...

California running back Jahvid Best returned a pair of 4x6 photos care of the Bears' athletic department in just under two weeks. A First Team All-PAC 10 and Second Team All-America selection last year, Best ran for over 131 yards per game, third best in the country in 2008.

Also signing was Cal teammate Syd'quan Thompson, who returned a pair of 4x6 photos care of the Bears' athletic offices too. Thompson, one of the top cornerbacks and punt returners in the nation, was also a First Team All-PAC 10 selection in 2008.

Three on Thursday...

Former Stanford pitcher and the 10th overall pick in this summer's MLB Draft Drew Storen signed a pair of 4x6 photos and completed a questionnaire care of his current minor league squad, the Hagerstown Suns, in about two weeks. The draft-eligible sophomore was a two-time First Team All-PAC 10 selection for the Cardinal.

Also signing was LSU football incoming freshman Craig Loston, who returned a pair of 4x6 photos care of his home address in just over two weeks. The five star prospect and top rated safety in the class of 2009 selected the Tigers over the likes of Oklahoma, USC, and Texas.

Rounding out the day was former Mississippi State baseball star Grant Hogue, who returned a pair of 4x6 photos and a nice note care of his current minor league team, the Greeneville Astros. Hogue, a 35th round draft pick by Houston, hit .315 as a senior for the Bulldogs.

Stewart signs....

Wake Forest incoming freshman Ari Stewart signed a pair of index cards and completed a questionnaire care of the Demon Deacons' athletic department in about two weeks. The four-star prospect out of Georgia pick WFU over the likes of Xavier, Georgia Tech, and Tennessee.

Manuel signs...

Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel signed a pair of 4x6 photos in about one week. The Seminoles' redshirt freshman is a former high school Parade All-American and one of the top QB recruits in the class of 2008.

Lion signs...

Penn State senior quarterback Darryl Clark signed a pair of 4x6 photos in about ten days. The Nittany Lions' signal-caller stepped in for the squad in last year's Alamo Bowl to help lead the Lions to victory and is now prepared to start for PSU this fall.

Bell in the box...

Wayne State University star running back Joique Bell signed a pair of 4x6 photos care of the school's athletic department in about one month. The redshirt senior holds school records for rushing yards (4,644), rushing touchdowns (59), all-purpose yards (5,663), total touchdowns (64), points (384).

Dixon signs....

Mississippi State running back Anthony Dixon signed a pair of 4x6 photos in about two weeks. The Bulldogs' senior-to-be became the first MSU player to ever rush for 1000 yards in a sophomore season back in 2007.

A finished project....

Former Indiana hoops superstar D.J. White signed an 8x10 photo of he and fellow former Hoosier Eric Gordon in about five months care of the Oklahoma City Thunder. This follows Gordon, who now plays for the Los Angeles Clippers, signing the photo while he was still at IU.
