One of the coolest successes I've ever obtained finally arrived fully completed this week. The Brohm brothers - Jeff, Gregg, and Brian - each signed an 8x10 photo I designed and sent to them care of the Louisville athletic department. Jeff was a former Kentucky "Mr. Football" who went on to play in the NFL and is now coaching at UL. Like Jeff, Greg is also a current assistant at UL after starting for three years at WR for the Cardinals in the early '90's. Brian, of course, is the team's record-setting quarterback who is expected to be a top choice in this spring's NFL Draft.

Legendary college football running back
Earl Campbell signed an index card and a pair of 4x6 photos in just 9 days. The former Texas Longhorn won the 1977 Heisman Trophy and was the first overall pick in the '78 NFL Draft.

Kansas quarterback
Todd Reesing, who grabbed headlines as he led the Jayhawks to a one-loss season this past fall, signed a pair of index cards in 43 days. The Texas native completed 62% of his passes in 2007 and tossed 33 touchdowns while leading KU to an Orange Bowl victory.

Two current college baseball players and one former star signed this week as well. Former Arizona State 2B
Eric Sogard signed a pair of index cards and a questionnaire in just 6 days. The former Sun Devil and Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year was taken in the 3rd round of last summer's MLB Draft by the Padres.

Also signing was UC-Irvine ace
Scott Gorgen, a First Team Preseason All-American who helped lead the Anteaters to the College World Series last summer and sent back a pair of index cards care of UCI. Gorgen was third-best in the nation last season with 13 wins on the mound.

The final college baseball success was another pitcher, Louisiana Tech's
Luke Burnett. The junior, a monster 6'8" and 220 pound right-hander, led the WAC with 115 strikeouts last spring and returned two index cards and the questionnaire care of LA Tech.
A number of college head coaches also signed, including Buffalo head football coach
Turner Gill, as well as college hoops coaches
Rick Barnes (Texas),
Keith Dambrot (Akron), and
Greg Kampe (Oakland).
