Success numbers 19 and 20 were delivered to my mailbox this afternoon. Miami (Ohio) WR Ryne Robinson's was returned in 25 days, while USC QB Mark Sanchez sent his back in just 21 days. Both requests were sent via the player's athletic department. With the successes today, I'm now at a cost of just $5.00 per autograph received, and just a single returned request away from climbing over the 20% success mark. 2006 STATS

I received my 16th and 17th successes of the year in the mail this afternoon. Iowa State WR Todd Blythe's request took 14 days, while Miami QB Kyle Wright's took 17 days. This is the first returned request from a Miami football player than I can ever remember. The school has notoriously ignored most every request I have ever sent in the past, the most notable exception being former Hurricane basketball star Darius Rice.
The 15th success of the summer arrived in my mailbox today, and ironically enough, it took exactly 15 days for Colorado RB Hugh Charles to return my request. I still have not received a request that I had sent to a player's home address.
Three new autographs came in the mail today. First was Albert Young, the RB from Iowa; his request was returned in 16 days. Second was Boise State QB Jared Zabransky, whose request was returned in 14 days. And last but not least was NC State WR Darrell Blackman, received in 11 days. That is the second NCSU success I've had this summer. The other was RB Andre Brown, also received in 11 days.
The success total came to 11 today, as I received autographs from Louisville WR Mario Urrutia and Mississippi LB Patrick Willis. The former took just 10 days, while the latter took 13. Both players returned both index cards that I sent.
I received my 9th success of the season in the mailbox today, this one from Robert Merrill, the RB from TCU. Unlike the previous 8 I had received, Merrill returned only one of the two index cards. No response for the exlucsion of the second was provided, though I am somewhat surprised to receive any response at all from TCU. Last summer, I attempted to collect Merrill's autograph and received a handwritten note from the TCU athletic department stating that they would not allow their athletes to sign autographs through the mail due to the problem of those autographs showing up on E-Bay. I'm not sure if this request slipped through the cracks or if the school has changed its policy.
Four new successes came in the mail Monday, along with a pair of requests returned because the USPS could not deliver them.
I received the 3rd and 4th successes of the season in the mailbox today. QBs Drew Stanton of Michigan State and Paul Smith of Tulsa are the latest; both requests were sent via their team's athletic department. Stanton's request took 9 days, while Smith's took just 8.
I received a pair of successes in today's mailbox, UTEP QB Jordan Palmer (left) and Houston WR Vincent Marshall. Both were sent on July 6 and took 7 days to receive, and both requests were via the schools' athletic department.
